Start with the pant and collar grip to slow your opponent down. Switch your hook to the inside, pull your opponent over you and push them to the side. Hook your second foot under your opponents extended leg. Your opponent will push back and smash your legs. When you attempt to come up on your elbow, your opponent will put pressure forward. Go for the choke. When your opponent pulls away as you try to grab the collar, come up on your elbow.
Now you are set for the position. If your opponent circles left, come up for the ankle pick. Your opponent will step that leg back to avoid the ankle pick. Immediately grab the other ankle, take them down, and put your knee on their hip. Grab around the neck, apply shoulder pressure, isolate their hip, square your hips, and stabilize side control.
