Beginning in the mount position open your opponents lapel and feed one hand deep into the collar. When your opponent reacts by controlling your arm, post your arm on the mat and slide your leg high under your opponents armpit and connect your heel to your opponents hip on the other side. This position will make it very difficult for your opponent to recover half guard or bump you off the mount. If your opponent turns away from you to block the choke bring your elbow to their forehead and turn the head exposing the neck. Once the neck is exposed, insert your other hand into the collar with a thumb-in grip and loop your elbow in so your forearm is across the neck. To finish turn your wrists and pull your elbows towards you as you bring your head to the mat and your knee back.
