When your opponent nearly passes, frame by isolating the shoulder and biceps. The frame around the shoulder maintains distance because your opponent will choke themself if they try to apply pressure. The hand on the biceps prevents your opponent from grabbing around your head. Shrimp out and shrimp back in using your shin on your opponents hip to create another frame. Hip escape once more and place your foot on your opponents hip. Maintain your hand on the biceps, hold your opponents elbow with your other hand, and shrimp in. In the case of self-defense, hold your opponents elbows. For jiu jitsu, close your guard.
