Begin standing controlling your opponents lapel with one hand and the sleeve with the other. Pull your opponent towards you and fake the guard pull by bringing your leg towards the hip and then bringing it back so you have a staggered stance. When your opponent pulls away from you use the momentum to catch the single leg position. Take your opponent down by stepping your leg out on the same side as the leg they have elevated and then back stepping to make them fall. Once you take your opponent down walk to the side and feed the bottom lapel to your top hand. Grab around the head and pull your opponent to you to establish the crossface. Switch your hips and switch your grip from the lapel to the bottom leg, then finish the pass by circling your leg and walking to the hips.
